David LaTorre is an actor, theatrical producer, and teaching artist who received his BFA in Musical Theatre from the South Carolina School of the Arts at Anderson University. He has directed for many theatres in South Carolina including the Abbeville Opera House, On Stage Productions, RPM Theatre Company, and Town Theatre. He has also worked as a character performer for Universal Orlando Resort.
David currently serves as the Youth Theatre Director at Town Theatre in Columbia, SC and was recently announced as the new artistic at Village Square Theatre in Lexington. He will be transitioning into this role full-time at the beginning of June.
David led a 24 Hour Musical at Town Theatre where he and 70+ volunteers raised money for InnerSole, a non-profit that provides new sneakers to homeless children and children in need. He was most recently named Runner-Up as Best of Columbia's Best Local Actor. David enjoys finding opportunities to give back to his community that has done so much for him throughout his career.
